on the one thing you’re good at…

Every country has this one thing they’re really good at, and which serves as the pivot point, the common culture and the one thing that pegs people together.

In America, it’s the corporate structures and technology. In Italy it’s religion and art. In France, it’s the political institution itself. In Turkey, it’s the army.

Crude, but true. Americans are worried that their corporatocracy is coming down. Frenchmen will go nuts if they think someone is tampering with egalité and fraternité. Italians have been known to guard the church with their bare flesh.

My theory is being proven wrong as noone moves a finger in Turkey… Good thing I was wrong.
